"Molded " - Photography collection

This series, captured through the lens of a scanner, delves into the suffocating tension between individuality and society’s pressure to conform. The model’s eyes, veiled by strands of hair, reflect the experience of being unseen, hidden within the forces that shape us. These ethereal, dreamlike images evoke a sense of being trapped in a world that seeks to mold us into a prescribed shape. The outstretched hands represent the outside forces trying to grasp and control, while the model’s suppressed expression, her eyes covered or diverted, symbolizes the loss of identity within these constraints.

In stark contrast, the image of the model screaming—with tiny miniature figures scattered across the scanner glass—captures the explosive frustration of a voice stifled by external expectations. It speaks to the anger of being reduced, the urgency to be heard. Likewise, the model’s irritated, squashed form against the glass suggests the weight of this unrelenting pressure.

The defeated figure, gazing off to the right with a cross around her neck, portrays the resignation and weariness that comes with the unending battle against societal expectations. It is as if the world has become too heavy to bear, pushing her toward exhaustion.

Finally, the model’s shocked expression, eyes wide, says it all—caught between disbelief and acceptance, she embodies the confusion and mental exhaustion of living in a world that demands conformity at the cost of individuality.

"Molded" is a visceral exploration of the conflict between personal identity and external pressures, capturing the emotional landscape of frustration, surrender, and defiance. It is a reflection on how society’s attempt to shape us can often lead to a sense of disorientation and inner turmoil. But in these moments of tension, there lies a quiet rebellion—a reminder that even in the most restrictive forces, our true selves struggle to be seen.
